Take 40 Australia and Universal Pictures International get their rockstar on
11 Jun 2010
The highly anticipated new comedy from Universal Pictures International, ‘Get Him to the Greek’, will premiere in Sydney tonight, and Take 40 Australia will be there to ensure the official after-party reaches rockstar proportions.
Universal Pictures International has teamed up with cross platform content providers mcm media for the inaugural Take 40 Rockstar Party! Comedy favourites and stars of the new film, Russell Brand and Jonah Hill, will be special guests at the party with Brian McFadden performing live.
Hosted by Take 40 Australia’s Kyle Sandilands, the mcm media produced event will be filmed for Channel 7, 7TWO and Channel [V].
The TV special will take viewers inside the party at Trademark Hotel in Kings Cross, delivering all the colour of what promises to be an unforgettable party. The branded content will also be activated via the Take 40 Australia and Kyle and Jackie O radio shows (airing on the TODAY Network) and online at take40.com.
Take 40 Rockstar Party is an exciting new incarnation of one of Australia’s favourite entertainment brands - a brand that refuses to stand still. The Take 40 Rockstar Party was conceived in collaboration with Universal Pictures International as a unique way to promote their latest release across multiple platforms – and give fans the chance to get closer to two bona fide stars.
mcm media CEO Simon Joyce comments: “Take 40 was an ideal partner for ‘Get Him to the Greek’. It’s a brand that lives and breathes pop culture, music and movies – and by creating the Take 40 Rockstar Party, we’ve been able to provide compelling branded content for multiple media platforms.”
“We are delighted to join forces with mcm [media] in what I believe is a great example of a ‘win-win’ partnership between a media owner and client. As a film distributor Universal has both access to celebrities and rich content and for this reason a partnership with mcm made complete sense,” said Suzanne Stetton-Brown, Marketing Director, Universal Pictures International.
“We chose the film GET HIM TO THE GREEK to pioneer this project and it has resulted in a strong and strategic promotion executed across all the areas of the marketing mix. Importantly by working together we have maximised our investment in the film Premiere event by capturing content and widely distributing it across mcm’s network.
“We are thrilled to have found a partner with the same vision as Universal and believe this will be the first of many creative partnerships with mcm,” she said.
