21 Aug 2009
American rockers the All-American Rejects descended upon Sydney’s Paddington Uniting Church last night, treating fans to unique acoustic versions of their hard hitting punk rock anthems and showcasing songs from their latest album “When The World Comes Down”, including a cracking rendition of their smash hit “Gives You Hell”.
In stellar form and in the country for a national headline tour, the band cranked out current single “I Wanna”, along with old favourites “Swing Swing” and “Dirty Little Secret “, plus a rousing rendition of the Britney Spears hit‘ Womaniser”.
After the show, frontman Tyson Ritter exclaimed “It’s so cool to play in such an intimate venue. I could really feel the energy coming from the audience, and that just made me want to give it even more. Awesome night, awesome crowd. We love playing in Australia!”.
mcm media Chief Executive, Mr Simon Joyce was thrilled with the event. “These guys have shown us why they’re one of the most in-demand acts in the world right now, I couldn’t believe the audience reaction! It was an amazing performance” he said.
The All-American Rejects will play at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre tonight before heading to Melbourne and Adelaide to finish up the tour.
