mcm entertainment group gears for growth with restructure

With a focus on growth, mcm entertainment group limited has restructured to clearly define each core offering and operating business.
From today, mcm entertainment’s media business, comprising of its radio syndication, online publishing, mobile content and television production businesses, will be branded mcm media.
The other two businesses owned by the group are mcm technical services, currently developing and selling the innovative Camify web analytics product, and the recently acquired web development and digital solutions business, igloo.
Founder and CEO of the group, Tony McGinn, said the changes will present opportunities for clients as well as the group, as despite the current economic conditions, mcm’s focus is on growth.
“Given the challenges the tighter economy presents, we are very positive about 2009 and entering into Q1 with opportunities for our clients. As a result of the restructure, we can focus on building and growing each business separately, and strengthening our offering,” he said.
Mr McGinn previously oversaw the media side of the business, however his focus will now turn to wider company growth: expanding its digital and technical services offering, diversifying revenue streams and looking at future acquisitions.
National Sales Director Simon Joyce has been appointed as CEO of mcm media, responsible for the day-to-day running and growth of the media business.
“Since joining in 2001, Simon’s achievements have been outstanding. He has proven to be highly capable of leading the media business both internally and externally, and dealing with all of the stakeholders that make mcm work. I am very pleased to offer him the role of CEO of mcm media” said Mr McGinn.
As CEO, Mr Joyce’s vision is to drive mcm media to deliver even better results for its national broadcaster and advertiser clients, and consolidate the business’ position as a leading producer of advertiser funded national radio, online, mobile and television content.
“After 25 years in the industry, mcm’s media business has carved out a position that offers clients best practice in several areas. We have worked hard in recent years to develop the product and the people to deliver the scale that will take the media business to the next level, and I’m excited to now be leading this effort,” said Mr Joyce.
Succeeding Simon Joyce is Greg Tremain who has been promoted to Sales Director NSW & QLD - mcm media.
igloo is run by Chief Executive Andrew Englisch and mcm technical services is run by Group Chief Technology Officer, Cameron Moore. Along with Simon Joyce, CFO Michael Burgess and Tony McGinn, they comprise the leadership team for the group.
